All the parties are geared up for continuous campaign in Telangana and Seemandhra. Apart from high decibel speeches and verbal attacks against their political opponents, all the parties and top leaders are planning to utilise technology so as to reach out to the maximum number of people. All parties have updated their websites and introduced some new features. The TDP is using its website, www.telugudesam.org, to host Naidu’s speeches delivered during his ongoing poll campaign.
It also has an exclusive IT cell to take up online campaign for the party and provide photographs to the media. The yellow party has also roped in techies and formed a forum called ‘Telugu Saanketika Nipunula Vedika’ to garner the support of IT professionals for the party. This forum has been entrusted with the job of spreading the party slogan ‘Bring Back Babu’.
The YSRCP, which is led by a young leader of this generation YS Jaganmohan Reddy, has also made arrangements to see that all the speeches made by him, party honorary president YS Vijayalakshmi and Sharmila are uploaded on its website, www.ysrcongress.com. The YSRCP will also make use of YouTube to launch the hi-tech campaign and expose their opponents. Not to fall behind in undertaking online campaign, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao also a few days ago launched an exclusive website for his party, www.trspartyonline.org. In this website, the pink party is uploading the recent videos of Rao and other prominent leaders of the party.
Party MLAs such as KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao have set up separate websites www.ktramarao.com and www.tharishrao.com, respectively, for themselves to inform their electors how they have developed their constituencies. Even TRS candidates have also resorted to launching their own websites. To ensure that the Modi wave helps them, the BJP too is using the web to reach out to various sections. The party has got its own website, ap.bjp.org, to propagate its political philosophy. Party Telangana State president G Kishan Reddy is maintaining a separate website, www.kishanreddy.com, for himself in order to attract people on the virtual world. Even the septuagenarian leader Bandaru Dattatreya is taking the help of mobile app. Realising the way other parties are using technology, the Congress too has launched its website, www.apcongress.org, but they do not have a separate wing to maintain the website. Botcha Satyanarayana still continues to be the PCC president.
