Mandapeta (East Godavari): Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asked the people of East Godavari to rid the state as well as the country of the Congress that had become a "gang of thieves." He lamented that the Congress had put the country in such disarray. Addressing a gathering during his road show at Mandapeta, Naidu said that only the TDP can rebuild the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. He said, “I would make of innovative practices and the latest technology for rapid as well as all-round development of the State and welfare of the poor if the TDP is voted to power.” Calling upon people to vote for the TDP and the BJP candidates, he said that Narendra Modi would become the first BC Prime Minister of the country. He was given a rousing reception by the activists of the TDP, the BJP and Jana Sena Party.

Elaborating his promises, Naidu said old age homes would be built in every Assembly constituency and added that he would transform Seemandhra into Swarandhra Pradesh. He observed that corruption had crossed borders during the Congress party rule. Naidu said he was seeing a great swing in favour of the TDP and mentioned that the TDP would come to power both in Telangana and Seemandhra. He clarified that the alliance of TDP with the BJP was “selfless.” He forecast that the address of the YSRCP would disappear after the elections. The Congress he said has become a gang of thieves and looted the country in the last 10 years. Same thing happened in Andhra Pradesh as well. “The party is steeped in corruption and it is time we got rid of it," Chandrababu Naidu urged the voters.
