This was unlike YSR, who took up welfare measures benefitting people. She appealed to the electorate to vote for YSRCP if they wanted restoration of a fully secure welfare State.
Addressing a public meeting, she said Naidu never bothered about the poor, never took up an agitation for people and was always concerned about his personal interests, furthering business activities and expanding the family-run Heritage Foods.
On the other hand YSR is still remembered for the good work done during his term. He did not increase power charges and RTC fares and was a model Chief Minister.
Vijayamma accused Union Minister K Chinjeevi of duping 70 lakh voters for a Cabinet berth. She claimed that only Jagamohan Reddy could build a new capital and develop the State with infrastructure and make it the best.
