BJP-TDP alliance will be a huge success: Parrikar
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar: BJP-TDP Alliance will be a Huge Success, he was the initiator of the dialogue to start TDP-BJP alliance and said that he was glad that it turned fruitful.
Hyderabad: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday claimed that he was the initiator of the dialogue to start TDP-BJP alliance and said that he was glad that it turned fruitful. Participating in an interactive session organised by the ‘Friends of BJP’ at Paryatak Bhavan, he predicted that the alliance would become a huge success.
His prediction was based on the feedback by 15,000-20,000 members from various associations. This was also substantiated by various poll predictions. “The alliance will go much further than the predictions in Seemandhra,” he said. He said there was a strong ‘BJP-Modi wave’ across the nation and that NDA would come to power. He said he could see a mood that had prevailed when Emergency was lifted in 1977. “That is the reason why poll percentages in many places had gone up by 10 per cent,” he added.
“There is a welcoming trend that head honchos of many industries have announced incentives for voting. This is happening for the first time in the country,” he said. When asked about the number of seats that NDA is likely to win, Parrikar said there was a surge from what a TV channel predicted (275). Speaking about BJP making inroads in south India, Parrikar said: “It has already got a foothold in Karnataka. The alliance with TDP will help the party in Seemandhra.” In Tamil Nadu, the parties, instead of attacking each other, are attacking Modi, which is a clear indication of the party wave in the State that dabbles in Dravidian politics,” he added.
