Tirupati: Assuring all out support for Seemandhra to develop rapidly, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that he will see that the entire world’s gaze turn towards the region.

Addressing a large gathering here this evening, Modi in his 45 minute rousing speech said that the Seemandhra with its abundant natural resources coupled with long coastline is most potential area for growth . He said NDA, if voted to power will ensure the development of the ports and also marine engineering in a big way turning the coastal Andhra as a gate way in the eastern coast. Assuring slew of measures, Modi said that he will take steps for tapping the rich petroleum reserves in KG Basin in a such that it could fulfill the energy requirements of not only the state but the entire country. In this connection he said that the Petroleum university in Gujarat will throw its doors open to the students of Seemandhra to accelerate to honing of the petroleum energy source for development.

In an effort to assuage the people of Seemandhra, he said as a person from Gujart he is fully aware of the pains of Seemandhra people at the separation of the state but in the same breath he said the region with its rich resources including human resource has every potential to bounce back. ``At first Gujratis were worried about their future when it was carved out from Maharashtra but now it is the one of the vibrant and most development state’’ he averred indicating a bright and prosperous future awaiting for Seemandhra.

He went of eulogizing the hardwork and skill of Seemandhra people and cited that it was the weavers from this region who were instrumental for textile development in Surat and same phenomenal development could be achieved here too provided if proper steps were taken which would also end the weaver suicides.

In this connection, Modi lauded Chandrababu Naidu as person who saw Hyderaba get a place in the world map, by turning the city as IT hub cyberabad and his sorrow now after the division of the state which is akin to a mother’s at the separation of her son.

Fuming fires at `mother-son duo’ (Snoia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi) he said they virtually ruined the country resulting in scores of farmers committing suicide, while the terrorists including the extremists(Maoist) attack increased manifold resulting in the death of more number of armed forces which is unfortunately more than those died in the war. Recalling Lal Bahadur Sastry’s famous slogan `Jai jawan, Jai Kisan’ he said that the slogan roused the patriotic spirit of the people. But in the regime of mother-son duo now it is turned as `Mar jawan- Mar Kisan’.

Saying that he and Chandrababu Naidu are like minded with development frenzy, he said their combination will do wonders while seeking the support of the people in the election.

On filing of FIR against him for showing lotus symbol after voting today, he said it is sad day in his life as he was not face any case even of going on wrong side or parking vehicle in oparking area.

TDP president Chandrababu Naidu said the recent remarks of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao amply reveal the conspiracy hatched by the Congress to divide the state with the support of TRS and YSRCP.

Making a scathing attack on Congress party, he said it was the party which was responsible for the growth of terrorism in Punjap, separtism in J and K and also in Assam and for the misadventure of IPKF inSrilanka.

Stating that it will be a herculean task for Andhra Pradesh to over come its revenue deficit and to progress he however vowed to develop it and see that every city in the district of Seemandhra developed like Hyderabad.

Calling on the people of Seemandhra to shed their despondency over the separation, he said with the full support of Narendra Modi he will see Andhra Pradesh regained its glory and become number one state in the country.
