The second day of the city’s comic convention saw huge crowds taking part in interactive sessions and buying exclusive merchandise

  Power RangersDay two of Hyderabad Comic Con saw a great turnout of fans across all age groups. The three-day fest, which started on Friday, will close today at Hitex Exhibition Centre.

Some of the best international authors and artists have come for the three-day convention. Famous international personalities like Ron Marz, an American comic book writer who is well known for his writings for ‘Silver Surfer’, ‘Green Lantern’; Nathan Edmondson, an American writer best known for Image Comic’s espionage series ‘Who Is Jake Ellis?’; Vivek Tiwary, a New York Times best selling and Eisner Award winning author and a Tony Award winning producer took special sessions at the convention.

Power Rangers by Nickelodeon made an appearance much to the excitement of young fans.

“We are extremely happy with the kind of response we are getting from fans, artists, writers and participants all together. We are seeing everyone having a wonderful time taking part in the interactive sessions. Cosplayers are having a gala time getting their pictures clicked with audiences,” shared Jatin Varma, founder, Comic Con India.

5 books - ‘Garuda’ by Orange Radius, ‘Item Dhamaka’ by Aayumi Productions, ‘The Seven Beasts’ by Patridge Publications, ‘Sarvasangraam’ and ‘Dragon King’ by Raj Comics - were launched.

For the tech enthusiasts, EA Games presented a session called ‘Building Fun’, in which they explored the idea of developing mobile games.

The team of the film ‘Baahubali’ treated fans to some exclusive activities, offers and contests. Also, audiences are getting a sneak peek into what’s in store for them when the movie will be released in 2015.

Exclusive Indian merchandisers including Kook N Keech by Myntra, Wacom, Collectors Heritage, Hysteria, Chumbak, Chimp, Planet Superheroes and Lazy Ninja did brisk business.
