Secunderabad Cantonment Board launched a toll-free helpline number (040-21112111) on Thursday, which was inaugurated by SCB president Brig. Ajay Singh Negi.
SCB CEO Sujatha Gupta, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Sayanna, BSNL area manager Aravind and other newly elected board members attended the event.
Sujatha Gupta said, “The helpline will facilitate lodging of complaints related to water, drainage, roads, streetlights, dog menace, tax, revenue, engineering, birth and death certificates and any other issues which needs immediate attention.
The helpline counter will be functioning from 6 am to 10 pm including public holidays. There are 30 lines to register a complaint which would be given an acknowledgment number.
5 BSNL staff have been deployed for the service who will then forward the complaint to the respective branch or division for redressing the grievance.”
Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Sayanna appealed to the SCB to solve the drinking water problem currently plaguing majority of the residents and slum dwellers.
