Hero will be updating the Passion Pro with a facelift this year including mildly revised body panels and updated graphics while a launch can be expected in the following weeks. While Hero MotoCorp’s highly anticipated performance products are nowhere in sight, the company is making sure to upgrade its bread and butter models from time to time, keeping the sales chart fresh and active. With the launch expected in the following weeks, the company’s highly popular Passion Pro commuter motorcycle was recently caught testing in the country sporting updates for the 2015 model year. The updates though will be minimal with basic changes to the body panels while the mechanicals are likely to get subtle revisions.
Covered completely in camouflage, the 2015 Hero Passion Pro facelift is expected to feature an updated instrument console, bikini fairing for the headlight cluster, revised tail light cluster, redesigned turn indicators, gloss black exhaust cover and possibly a two-tone paint scheme. The bike will continue to draw power from the tried and tested 110cc engine that is tuned to produce 8.7 PS of power and 9.36 Nm of torque, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. There have also been reports of the Passion Pro getting a Hero developed 110cc engine under its belly, however, there has been no confirmation of the same.
The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volumes, Hero MotoCorp has a slew of products lined up for launch this year which apart from its motorcycle range will also see the company focus its attention towards the growing market of scooters. There have been reports of Hero planning to launch a 125cc scooter by mid-2015 which is speculated to be called the ‘Maestro Edge’ while there is also a possibility of the 150cc Zir scooter showcased in 2014 hitting the showrooms by this year end.
