Govt properties to be used for public amenities

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) completed a survey of 365 km road length on the major corridors and identified 700 State and Central government properties which would be used to develop public amenities. Multi-level parking space, market complexes and bus bays are planned in the open spaces of the identified properties.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) completed a survey of 365 km road length on the major corridors and identified 700 State and Central government properties which would be used to develop public amenities. Multi-level parking space, market complexes and bus bays are planned in the open spaces of the identified properties.
GHMC Special Officer & Commissioner, Somesh Kumar submitted a report on the development plans to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao which was approved, informed reliable sources. The development plans include multi-level parking facilities at 80 places, markets at 150 sites and 250 public toilets. About 15-20 ft area of the government properties would be used to create bus bays.
