Intex has launched the Aqua 4G+ in India at Rs. 9,499, what it is calling its first 4G smartphone in the country. The smartphone will be available to buy from retail stores from Friday in Black and White colour variants. Apart from 4G LTE connectivity, the highlight of the smartphone is its support for 21 regional languages.

Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Intex Aqua 4G+ features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) display with Dragon Trail Glass protection. It is powered by an 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The Intex Aqua 4G+ sports 16GB of inbuilt storage, with storage expandability via microSD card (up to 32GB). It bears a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi with hotspot functionality, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and FM radio.

The Aqua 4G+ weighs 136.5 grams. Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, "At Intex, we are happy to now beckon a huge leap in its product portfolio by offering enhanced specifications and features in the newly launched Aqua 4G+ that simply caters to the fast emerging technological necessities in the market at a remarkable price.

This innovative product comes across as a package of smart designing, tactical pricing and youthful colors all packaged for our target consumer." Intex earlier this week launched two new smartphones, the Aqua 3G Pro and Aqua 3G Strong, priced at Rs. 3,666 and Rs. 3,333 respectively.

Both the Intex Aqua 3G Pro and Aqua 3G Strong smartphones share some common specifications. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based smartphones come with dual-SIM support and feature 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) displays.
