The convenience of a virtual classroom is becoming a must-have as schedules get busier and demand increases by global participants who want in-person opportunities for training. To answer this need, global IT association ISACA and Deloitte LLP have developed Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), which offers online personal interaction between students and an experienced instructor.

The first of these in-depth courses is ‘Analytics in Action: Utilising Data Analytics to Support Enterprise Risk’ which will be held on July 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 2:30 am (Indian Standard Time). The emergence of analytics to improve audit quality is on trend as one of the most useful audit tools available.

This virtual course will give participants the tools and techniques to integrate analytics into their own enterprise. A Deloitte instructor will facilitate the session in a collaborative environment with industry peers.

Through a range of practical presentations and demonstrations, attendees of the four, two-hour sessions will learn about the common uses of analytics, its benefits, impact in business, risks and controls; how to identify where analytics can be effectively leveraged and how to plan and perform an audit utilising analytics concepts.

“Analytics becomes a key enabler of the execution of the audit strategy, making this intense training session valuable, timely and very relevant,” said Christos K Dimitriadis, international president of ISACA.

“The virtual session gives professionals around the world an opportunity to increase knowledge and skills from the comfort and convenience of their own desks, saving them time and travel expenses.”

The ISACA/Deloitte virtual instructor led training course registration, which includes course materials, is US $500 for ISACA members and US $650 for non-members. Participants are eligible to earn up to eight continuing professional education (CPE) hours for the two-hour, weekly sessions, which are held over four weeks.
