West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar has on Tuesday informed that On-line Application System has been introduced for setting up new industries in the district. He was presiding over the meeting of District Investment Promotion Committee (DIPC) at the Collectorate.

Speaking at the meeting, the collector said that the State Government has introduced single-desk policy for setting up of industries in the State. “Under this system, the entrepreneurs will have to submit their applications on-line. After which they will have to submit hard-copies of the related documents.

The application received on-line would be sent to the various concerned department for approvals under the single-desk system,” he said. He asked the officials to scrutinise the applications on-line and sanction the final orders after receiving the original copies. He directed the officials to speed up the disposal of these applications as per the rules.

“The Committee has approved 16 applications for a sanction of incentives to the entrepreneurs who started their industries. It has also sanctioned Rs.7,948 as Stamp Duty on the SC/ST entrepreneurs capital subsidy of Rs 21,28,810. The committee also resolved to sanction power subsidy to eight industries in tune of Rs 2.36 lakh, sales tax subsidy of Rs.4.67 lakh and other incentives of Rs 20.07 lakh to 12 companies.

The collector on this occasion has asked the General Manager of District Industries Centre to submit the applications of incentives to the DIPC. District Industries Centre General Manager Adiseshu, BC Corporation Executive Director Pentoji Rao, SC Corporation ED Jhansi Rani, Social Welfare Deputy Director Sobha Rani, Lead Bank District Manager Subrahmanyeswara Rao and others participated in the meeting.
