Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram, a flagship programme of the Telangana Government envisages increasing the present 24 per cent tree cover in the State to 33 per cent of the total geographical area of the state.Nasr Boys School actively promoted this programme by planting 150 saplings within and outside the school avenue.

On a bright sunny morning the school played host to the officials from the Police Department who donated the saplings to be planted. Madhapur ACP, M Ramana Kumar graced the occasion. The programme began with the hoisting of the school flag, followed by the school song. The ACP hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem.


The Prithvi house captain, Ausaf Ahmed delivered the welcome address. The school captain Ammar Ahmed emphasised the importance of Harita Haaram. A cultural programme by the primary school students highlighted the importance of trees. Principal Mir Hafeezuddin Ahmed led the students in the planting of the saplings.
