Fresh from the successful conduct of the Monsoon Regatta, Hussainsagar Lake will once again be in the thick of action, come Wednesday. The stage is all set for the commencement of the 30th Laser National Sailing Championship as part of the Hyderabad Sailing Week, which will be inaugurated by State Finance Minister Etela Rajender at 3 pm near Secunderabad Sailing Club.

Briefing the media, Major General Sanjeev Khanna, who is also the Vice-President of Laser Class Association of India (LCAI), said, “Sailing here during July-August is a highly competitive one as the wind conditions are most favorable around that time.” “It will be an exciting proposition as around 130 sailors have been trained by international celebrities like Rajesh Choudhry, BK Rout, Gajender Singh, Kamlesh Patel and Sharif Khan from June 28 to July 11.
