Hyderabad: Culture gives us a connection to certain social values, beliefs, religious and customs. Not everyone feels a connection with their cultural heritage, but children of Primary Wing of Sister Nivedita School do feel this connection which was reflected in their presentation of the life and work of Bhakta Ramadasu - a fervent devotee of Lord Rama.

Children started the programme with Ganesh Vandana and this was followed by paying homage to Ramadasa. The story behind the construction of the Bhadrachalam Temple was scrupulously narrated by the children through soul filling songs, dances and dramatization which left everyone captivated. The entire presentation created an atmosphere of ultimate bliss and devotion.

The programme aimed to make children understand that we should have respect not only for Ramadasa, but also for all the religious saints who could achieve their ‘Dreams’ of attaining God through Devotion, Dedication and Determination . The programme concluded with the speech by the Director of the school Harihara Prasad and the Principal Jayanthi Venkataraman.

Both of them appreciated and congratulated children for the wonderful programme and motivated them to know more about our culture and incorporate them in our life.
