Lingareddy receiving Shrama Shakthi award from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Bahadur Lingareddy is a dedicated person serving the poor, inspired by Mother Teresa.ingareddy is the person among others proving that age is not obstacle to serve the poor.Born to Narayan reddy and Nagamma in Kurnool, he completed his M.A. and was employed in Railways in 1973.He retired as chief officer in 2009.During his service in Railways, he started serving the poor and took part in many programmes.

He spends Rs.10,000 from his pension for lending his hand to the destitutes and giving inspiration to the young people. He also participates in programmes organized by Lions’ Club,as Vice-President in Aasara Committee, Malkajgiri branch and also president of Universal of Third ages, Telangana branch.

He said that he started his contribution to the poor only after meeting Mother Teresa who visited Secunderabad in 1980.He started feeding the street children, poor people at Mallikarjuna Nagar.

Now he guides the young generation by planting saplings, coordinating with municipal officials on pensioners’ problems, distributing clothes in old age homes and organizing free medical camps for medical check-up. He has a son and daughter who are well settled in UK and Europe.
