CS seeks district-wise irrigation plans
Telangana district authorities were instructed on Wednesday to prepare the “District Irrigation Plans” for Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana ( PMKSY), a centrally sponsored scheme, and submit them latest by February 11.

State Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma conducted a video conference with the district Collectors and the officials of Irrigation and Agriculture departments here and discussed the progress in the preparation of irrigation plans.
He directed the officials to prepare the plans in consultation with local ministers, MPs, MLAs and other people’s representatives. Principal Secretary to irrigation SK Joshi instructed the district authorities to adopt two villages in each district under JALGRAM (water village) scheme to revive the groundwater levels.
The district plans will have details such as the five-year action plan to increase irrigation potential, the possibility of augmenting ayacut area, groundwater level status, check dam construction and the development of drip irrigation facilities will be included in the Irrigation plan.
