NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ESIC Medical College, Hyderabad on utilisation of infrastructure of ESIC Medical College and extending the support of the super specialty experts from NIMS on Monday.

​Hyderabad: NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ESIC Medical College, Hyderabad on utilisation of infrastructure of ESIC Medical College and extending the support of the super specialty experts from NIMS on Monday.

MoU was signed by Dr Manohar, Director, NIMS Hospital and Dr M Srinivas, Dean, ESIC Medical College in the presence of Minister of State for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatraya, Dr C Laxma Reddy, Minister for Medical & Health, Govt of Telangana and R S Rao, Regional Director, ESIC, were present at the occasion.

Bandaru Dattatraya addressing the event said, “NIMS have good experts in all the super specialty departments. The super specialty doctors after completion of DM / MCH course are required to do one year mandatory service and this mandatory service shall be completed in ESIC Super Specialty Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad attached to ESIC Medical College, Hyderabad as per this MoU.”

He further stated that the ESIC medical college would offer 60 per cent seats to Telangana and 40 per cent seats to ESIC insured workers and this is the boon. Bandaru Dattatraya, has congratulated ESIC Medical College, for duly attending to all deficiencies raised by the MCI in a record period of 100 days.

He stated that the understanding between central govt and state govt medical institutions is a boon to the poor workers and would start a new page in the medical history of the state. The better facilities would always help to improve the health of the workers and in turn productivity he stated.
