Banyan Tree is organising a monsoon music festival titled ‘Barkha Ritu’ at Ravindra Bharathi on August 12. Barkha Ritu is the only National Thematic Music festivals on the monsoon ragas with the presence in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chennai.
This festival will pay tribute to the legendary guru and maestro, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. Devaki Pandit, singer, composer, and playback singer, Shounak Abhisheki, vocalist and Ustad Shahid Parvez, sitarist will perform at the festival.
