Synchrony Financial donated Rs 6,00,000 to LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) at the Hospital’s premises in Banjara Hills on Thursday. Through this it will support vision care for 300 people.

The cheque was presented to the staff of LVPEI by Max Axler, Financial Planning and Analysis Leader at Synchrony Financial and Faisal Uddin, Sr. Vice-President and Business Leader of the company.

Corneal disease is a major cause of blindness in India and there is no proper medical infrastructure to address the problem. Synchrony Financial India initiated the ‘All for Eyes’ project with LVPEI by supporting corneal transplant and surgeries for the poor.

The project, which started three months ago, has already provided vision care for 300 people through contributions and volunteer work by Synchrony Financial employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Max Axler, of Synchrony Financial, said, “We support the work of LV Prasad Eye Institute in providing improved vision to people from all segments of society. We extend our wholehearted support to LVPEI through our programme, ‘All for Eyes’.”

Faisal Uddin added, “Our company culture is based on giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and volunteerism through various activities. Each volunteer hour contributed by the employee is monetised and donated to LVPEI as a part of the campaign.”
