The department of photography at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) organised an exhibition titled ‘Visual Feast’ in Masab Tank on Friday.

The expo, which was held as part of celebrating 177 years of ‘World Photography Day’, was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of JNAFAU, P Padmavathi. Upto 120 students pursuing Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) exhibited their photographic works.

“Photography has a huge scope and the most important requirement to be a good photographer is clear vision,” said Principal, SN Vikas.

Speaking about the exhibition and the students’ achievements, Head of the Department in Photography, SK Rahman said, “Our students learnt many things from guest lecture classes held by well-known cinematographers. All the students came forward to exhibit their work but the exhibition hall was running short of place. So, they selected the best 120 framed photographs and presented those.”

Later, the principal awarded the students who captured best pictures in various aspects of photography – Abhishek won the first spot for his ‘Mystery Waters’ entry, Srikar K came in second for his photo ‘Holy Dip’ and B Anand Kumar took the third place for his ‘Dancer (B/W)’ piece.

Eminent photographer, Sridhar Raju attended the inauguration along with the student body of JNAFAU.
