When you buy a product in the market sold either online or offline, you will get a guarantee for a product: a warranty or a promise in written that the manufacturer will replace the product or repair it in case the product is damaged or malfunctions in the given period of time.

Guarantee is an assurance or a written promise given to a customer by the retailer or the manufacturer that certain conditions will be fulfilled when a product purchased malfunctions or it breaks down in a certain span of time.

CUTCO Cutlery Company gives lifetime guarantee to their customer to repair their products bought by the customers.

Guarantee, oral or written, is a warranty, a contract, an assurance, a covenant given to another person; a promise, swear to abide by something, pledge, vow, promise, commitment, undertaking: formal or informal.

In legal aspects, guarantee is an undertaking by someone to answer or pay for the payment or performance of another person’s debt or obligation in the event of a default by the person responsible for it. That is if you give a guarantee to someone it means if he or she fails you will fulfill that promise as you are the guarantor.

Guarantee functions as a noun and verb: There is no guarantee that your investments in stocks, shares and real estate will appreciate or increase in value.

Guarantee and warranty has similar meanings but warrant has completely different meaning. Warrant is a writ issued by an officer such as a judge or magistrate that allows the police or to make an arrest, search premises, seize property or belongings or carry out some other action relating to the administration of justice.

Warrant is a permission to an officer to arrest someone, a written order from the legal authorities of the country.
Warrant to an officer such as the police gives the power to arrest someone, a justification to question someone, justify their action for questioning, searching among others at the suspected crime doer’s place.

There is no guarantee that one will not a receive a warrant in his or her lifetime from the police for a misdemeanor or criminal conduct or for violating a law or causing harm to others unless one guarantees to himself or herself to behave well: to be good, and being good is the warranty or a guarantee for a warrant-free life.
