St Andrews, Sadhu Vaswani clinch Devasia chess titles

St Andrews (A) boys and Sadhu Vaswani International School girls took the titles in the 13th Rev Fr Devasia Inter-school Chess Tournament, conducted by St Andrews High School in their Bowenpally campus on Thursday.

Later, prizes were given away by chess administrator S Vijay Saradhy in the presence of school officials Sunita and Padma and the Organising Secretary, Y Sameer Kumar.

Standing-Boys:

Winner: St Andrews School (A-8 points); Runners-up: Chirec International School and Pallavi Model School; 3. Secunderabad Public School; 4. St Andrews (B); 5. Unicent High School;

Girls: 1: Sadhu Vaswani International School (9); 2. JHPS; 3. St Andrews (A); 4. St Andrews (B); 5. Pallavi Model School.

Board prize winners-
Boys: Board No 1: K Roshan (St Andrews ‘A’ -four points); Board No 2: K Abhiram Pramodh (Pallavi Model School-5); Board No 3: Aditya Sriram (Chirec-4.5); Board No 4: Koushik Ch (St Andrews ‘A’-4.5);

Girls: Board No 1: Sevitha Viju (Sadhu Vaswani-5); Board No 2: Sri Chandrhana G (JHPS -5); Board No 3: Sanjana Varma P (Sadhu Vaswani-5); Board No 4: G Sri Shanthi (JHPS-5).
