A three-day national conference on the theme ‘Intelligent and wide area control systems’ has got underway at NIT Warangal (NIT-W) here on Friday.

Warangal Urban: A three-day national conference on the theme ‘Intelligent and wide area control systems’ has got underway at NIT Warangal (NIT-W) here on Friday.

The NIT-W’s department of electrical engineering is organising the conference. The Director of IISC, Bengaluru, Prof Anurag Kumar has delivered the keynote address on ‘Cyber Physical Systems’.

In his address, he highlighted that ‘Inter of Things’ (IoT) is at the point of influx and its application is found in every field of engineering.

He presented one of the real time applications of IoT being made at IISC and advised the researchers to actively take part in the IoT revolution.

The NIT-W in-charge Director Prof G R C Reddy presented the ‘Life time achievement award’ to Prof Anurag Kumar on behalf of System Society of India.

The convener of conference Prof D M Vinod Kumar, co-conveners of the conference S Srinivasa Rao and Ch Venkaiah explained the objectives of organising the event,

where talks were invited from eminent scientists and paper presentations by large number of academicians were being held.
