​Hanamkonda: The works related to Kaloji Kala Kshetram would be completed by September 9, 2018, said State Tourism and Cultural Department Secretary Burra Venkatesham.

The official, along with Warangal (West) MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhasker and cultural department officer M Harikrishna has inspected the project site at Balasamudram in Hanamkonda on Tuesday. He interacted with the project engineers and enquired about the progress of the works.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesham said the Kala Kshetram once completed would be a hallmark in the city. While admitting that there has been a delay in the execution of the works, he said Rs 10 crores were released to speed up the works.

The auditorium was being built with an amount Rs 50 crores. Care was being taken to ensure high quality and standards in the construction. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been reviewing the progress of the works on regular basis.

MLA Vinay Bhasker appealed the officials to ensure speedy release of funds for the speedy completion of the auditorium works. He thanked the CM for allocating Rs 50 crores and 3.5 acre land for auditorium, which would serve as a multi-purpose cultural centre after its completion.

Going by its design and architecture, the Kala Kshetram would be a master piece of art and would add to the beauty of historical Warangal city, the MLA felt. The project engineer Venkateshwarlu and in-charge Surender Rao were present.
