In a major relief and a boost to the ongoing Hyderabad Metro Rail project, a hurdle at Musheerabad junction was cleared by demolishing eight shops on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor on Saturday.

Town planning officials of GHMC and HMRL undertook the operation. With the path being cleared, the road stretch in corridor II which is narrow now would make it easy and create more space for the remaining three metro pillars at Musheerabad junction, said N V S Reddy, Managing Director, HMRL.
An amount of Rs 172 lakh was paid to for acquisition 176 sq. yards of Wakf land. With this, no gaps are left between Bhoiguda-RTC X roads stretch on Metro Rail corridor-II, he added.
