​Mancherial: The State government cheated the Singareni workers in the name of dependent jobs to their children, slammed Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof Kodandaram while speaking at ‘Telangana Biddala Sadassu’ at CCC Press Club here on Monday.
He lashed out at the government for not taking clear decision on hereditary jobs and demanded the government amend the procedures of job renewal. The Singareni employees were burning government effigy after the Supreme Court gave its verdict, he reminded.
Kodandaram stressed that they would always support Singareni workers and their agitation against the government. He expressed concern over the increasing unemployment in Singareni area. The TJAC chief said discussions were on with national unions in regard to strike on April 17and 18.
He asked the government to establish land mines so that children of workers and others would get jobs. Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika leaders Ravinder Rao, Sanjeev, Y Srinivas, Babanna, Singareni JAC leader Muneer, families of several workers attendedthe meet.
