Van Mahotsav, a week-long festival of trees is organised every year by the Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet in the first week of July. In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to this concrete jungle, the students celebrated Van Mahotsav from July 2 to 7 in the school campus.

The focus of the celebration was towards forming a personal connect between the students and mother nature, through a process of self realisation, motivation and spreading awareness, carried out through various talks, skits and motivational speeches and above all planting saplings. Van Mahotsav week came up to be a great success leaving messages to the students like ‘save earth’, ‘plant a tree, plant a life’, ‘minimise the use of paper’ etc. Students will always cherish these memories and flourish in their lives with sustainable development.
