Reasons for hairfall can be stress, dandruff, weakness, prolonged illness, inadequate diet, poor hair care, or the kind of water you are using.
Here are a few tips. You could pick and choose from them or implements all of them!
-Massage the hair with a blend of pure almond oil and castor oil. Leave it on for 15 minutes and steam the hair. Do this twice a week.
-Then, make a hair pack: 2 teaspoons each of amla, reetha and shikakai, fenugreek, triphala and brahmi powder. Mix this mixture with two eggs and apply all over the hair after the above massage. Leave on for 30-40 minutes. This should ideally be done after oiling hair and twice a week, you will see the results within 2 weeks.
-A few raw vegetables are particularly useful to arrest hairfall. Include carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, celery, spinach, cauliflower, lots of fruits, and plenty of green vegetables.
-It is safer to you henna than a chemical dye. However, you have to use natural oils that cause dryness to hair. Chemical dyes can be a major cause for hairfall.
-Exercise regular so that you can sweat to release toxins from your body. Exercise vigorously at least thrice a week.
-Take a multi-vitamin supplement. Chyavanprash (it has vitamin C).
-Don’t use someone else's combs and brushes. If anybody uses yours or if you need to use somebody else’s then disinfect with dettol before use.
-If you suffer from dandruff, massage your hair with warm coconut oil and apply the juice of 2 lemons, steam your hair and leave the oil on for about 2 hours. Shampoo with a mild shampoo. This should be done 2-3 times a week.
-Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily as this helps flush out accumulated toxins in the body.
-Avoid sugary and fried foods.
-Stress is today's biggest killer leads to severe hair loss. Worry, depression and tension are all damage-causing factors. Take out time to relax. Believe me this is very important. Take up a hobby, listen to music, read but for God's sake don't become a couch potato in front of the T.V. or computer.
