Hyderabad: Reacting sharply to attempts of Seemandhra MPs to move no-confidence motion against the UPA government, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Tuesday that no force can now stop the formation of Telangana State. The no-confidence motion would not be admitted. Even if Seemandhra MPs resort to horse trading and get it admitted, it would be defeated, he said.

Addressing a press conference, he lashed out at TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for his comments faulting Centre for the division of the State. Naidu’s Samaikyandhra stand is now out in the open with his statement to halt the division process. It is time Telangana TDP leaders and activists retrospect about their continuation in such a party, Rao says.

The TRS chief was also very critical of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for stating that he would ensure Telangana draft Bill got defeated in the floor of the Assembly. “Is Kiran Reddy aware of the Indian Constitution? In spite of holding a Constitutional post, he is making statements against the spirit of the Constitution. He has no right to continue in the post,” Rao fumed. When asked about YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s attempts to tour all states to seek support of regional parties, the TRS chief said that all that was needed for creation of Telangana state was simple majority in Parliament. The support of 28 MPs would be enough to approve the Bill if on the day of voting, 56 members were present in the parliament.

Replying to a query about statement by Lok Satta leader Jayaprakash Narayan that formation of Telangana would have a telling effect on nation’s unity, he said that Narayan knows more on the subject than perhaps BR Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution. Many states were formed after separation of Andhra from erstwhile Madras presidency.

However, the country did not disintegrate as said by the Lok Satta leader.

If he still strongly believed in nation’s unity then Andhra state should be merged with Tamil Nadu, the TRS chief felt.Rao said that his party would fight till the last moment to ensure that its amendments would be accepted while giving final shape to Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill.
