CSR workshop for the benefit of the elderly
A workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be held today at Lions Bhavan, Paradise. The workshop is organised jointly by the Association of Senior Citizens of Hyderabad and Help Age India, AP/TS Regional Office.
A workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be held today at Lions Bhavan, Paradise. The workshop is organised jointly by the Association of Senior Citizens of Hyderabad and Help Age India, AP/TS Regional Office.
The workshop will be conducted by Gayatri Subramaniam, convener and chief programme executive of National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (NFCSR). Agriculture minister T Harish Rao will be the chief guest at the event.
The Government of India made it mandatory for profit making companies to spend 2 per cent of their profits on the welfare of various segments of Indian society. The workshop will help the Senior Citizens Associations to understand the concept, rules and procedures applicable on companies with respect to CSR for funding projects like old age homes, day care centres, etc.
The workshop is being conducted in association with Sr. Citizens Associations, Federations, Confederations, Help Age, Aasara, Fapcci, Corporates, Jeevanadhara and others. The programme will commence at 10 am and go on till 2 pm. Interested people can register themselves between 9 am to 9.50 am by paying Rs 100.
