Tree plantation drive at UoH
The horticulture wing of University of Hyderabad (UoH) ushered in the New Year with a ‘Tree Plantation’ drive organised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, on Thursday. Fruit bearing guava trees were planted in the nursery located on the university campus.
Hyderabad: The horticulture wing of University of Hyderabad (UoH) ushered in the New Year with a ‘Tree Plantation’ drive organised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, on Thursday. Fruit bearing guava trees were planted in the nursery located on the university campus. UoH has been organising the cleanliness drive and tree plantation programmes regulary in order to promote greenery on campus.

Prof. E Haribabu, Pro Vice-Chancellor of UoH inaugurated the plantation drive. Prof. Y Narasimhulu, Prof. A R Reddy, Prof. B Ramabrahmam, Sai Jawahar - Deputy Registrar and staff of the horticulture office also planted trees on this occasion. The varsity is in the process of nurturing a fruit bearing tree garden, medicinal plants garden and is working towards improving the green cover on the campus.
