The CS sought a detailed report on the security plan of metro rail depots and stations Telangana Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma on Tuesday directed the Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, M G Gopal to conduct a meeting with all police and civic chiefs to chalk out an action plan for developing 80 road junctions in three metro rail corridors.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary wanted the construction of the third bridge connecting MGBS to Rang Mahal Junction to be taken up on priority to ease congestion at MGBS RTC depot. The HMR MD was advised to get the DPR (Detailed Project Report) prepared within one month and the GHMC Special Officer was asked to take up the construction of the bridge.

The Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department has been asked to conduct a meeting with Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissioners; GHMC Commissioner and HMR MD to prepare an action plan for developing all the 80 road junctions in three Metro Rail corridors. The Chief Secretary directed a comprehensive DPR to be prepared for developing the junctions.

It has also been decided to discuss the report on security plan of Metro Rail depots and stations with Secretary, Home Department and the same would be submitted in the next STF meeting. The status of acquisition of critical properties in road widening on the three Metro Rail corridors was reviewed and Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts and GHMC Commissioner have been asked to expedite the process of acquisition on priority for the balance 247 properties. Regarding shifting of utilities, Dr Rajiv Sharma wanted all utility organisations to come up with simplified procedures to expedite the shifting by cutting short the lengthy and cumbersome process.
