Students of ST Peters College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad bagged an award for their innovative go-kart car design in a go- kart competition conducted by Goutham Buddha University Greater Noida (UP). Hawk ecokart-15 is an electrically charged car which runs 45 kms, once fully charged and has a combi disc breaking system, which is first among go-kart cars.

Hyderabad: Students of ST Peters College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad bagged an award for their innovative go-kart car design in a go- kart competition conducted by Goutham Buddha University Greater Noida (UP). Hawk ecokart-15 is an electrically charged car which runs 45 kms, once fully charged and has a combi disc breaking system, which is first among go-kart cars.

It is also equipped with a mobile kill switch, which disconnects the whole system as soon as it gets signal from the crew. The eco friendly project was build with the collaboration of Society of Aeronautical Engineering (SAE).It is priced at Rs 90,000. Commenting on the occasion, T V Reddy, Secretary SPEC, appreciated the students for showing their innovative thoughts through eco friendly gokart vehicle, which is the best of its kind in the present market.
