Medchal (Ranga Reddy): A worker, Tirupati, working in a Sri Ram Spinning Mill was found dead under mysterious circumstances at company’s residential quarter in Yellampet village on Saturday. According to the deceased’s wife Vijaya, Tirupati hailed from Vithaipalle village in Amangal mandal of Mahabubnagar district. He had been working at Sri Ram Spinning Mill for the past five years and residing in quarters provided by the company. About five months ago, the family shifted to Tirupati’s native village after his wife had undergone a surgery.

Vijaya said her husband had rejoined duty one week ago leaving behind his family members. On Friday night, Tirupati returned to his quarters after completing his duty. However, Tirupati did not come out of his house on Saturday morning. Workers residing beside Tirupati’s residence grew suspicious and informed the company officials. Workers forcibly opened the door of the quarter and they found Tirupati had committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling.

Company officials informed the police about worker’s suicide. They arrived at suicide spot and collected details from co-workers. However, Vijaya said that they did not have any problems which might have forced Tirupati to commit suicide. She told police that her husband was killed as he fought with some workers in the past. Medchal Circle Inspector Shashank Reddy said that they had registered a case and took up investigation.
