Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA) conducted free distribution of plants to the public at Lower Tank Bund, Himayathnagar, Naraynaguda and other places as part of the Haritha Haram programme for people to plant trees in their houses and apartments to make their living in a green belt environment. 

Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA) conducted free distribution of plants to the public at Lower Tank Bund, Himayathnagar, Naraynaguda and other places as part of the Haritha Haram programme for people to plant trees in their houses and apartments to make their living in a green belt environment.

A member of National Social Service (NSS) organisation Akhil, who volunteered to take up the work said, “We distributed 3,200 plants at Lower Tank Bund and 3,200 plants at Himaythnagar and Narayanaguda where the response was good for collecting the plants and all of them promised to make all efforts to protect and work for the healthy growth of the plants and trees.”

Homemaker from Amberpet Madhav said, “I am happy to collect the plants and will plant them in our house along with the others. I took Gorintaku, lime and other crouton plants to decorate our house and ensure more green belt environment in our premises.
