Former Ranji player K Sai Baba has been winning laurels ever since he established Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) at Masab Tank, The trials and tribulations, notwithstanding, the Foundation has been relentlessly going about helping the have-nots to make a mark.
The meticulously planned Build India Through Sports (BITS) Project has been winning kudos from various fronts because it goes beyond Telangana State. The services have been recognised by various people, including the Rockefeller Foundation. Winner of the President’s Medal for best Sports NGO (Social change) in the country, SCF is all set to corner fresh global glory.
A bigger reward will be when Sai Baba will be present during the ‘Peace and Sport’ award ceremony at Monte Carlo in Monaco on Thursday. Incidentally, SCF is the only entity from India to be nominated as one of the three world wide sports organisations for the ‘top NGO award for 2016’. The coveted honour is instituted by Peace and Sport Committee, Monaco City.
