It was a delight for health aficionados in the city at the inauguration of ‘Jivati Restro’ in Jubilee Hills. The restaurant is an initiative by IIM students, who aspire to destroy diseases like cancer.

With the growing cancer cases in the country, Pradeep Chowdary, Mahendra and Anand (owners) have taken a step towards healthy living. They claim that all the delicacies are 100 per cent organic.

The raw materials are procured from various places in the country; sea food is from delta of Sundarban, paneer is collected from Kashmir, grains are transported from Karnataka and other materials are procured from Maharashtra. Customers can select their dishes and learn about the materials used and where are they obtained from through the digital menu.

“The products go through two levels of testing to make sure they are chemical free. We are even encouraging farmers to grow organic produce to promote healthy living,” said Vijay Nirmala, one of the partners. Also, the customers are allowed to enter the open-kitchen unlike other conventional restaurants and inspect the pantry.
The restaurant was inaugurated by Allu Arvind who said, “I’m happy to be associated with the vision to enable people lead healthier lives by making the food poison-free. It is alarming to note the deteriorating stamina in younger generations due to the food that is devoid of nutrients because of pesticides and germicides.”
