Bazarghat: Despite the claims of GHMC to take up repair works of roads across the city, many streets in the interiors are still damaged. One such road is the stretch between Bazarghat junction and Niloufer Hospital where the road is not only damaged, but a drain overflows on the street.

One of the busiest areas here, the road is frequently used for transporting patients by ambulances and civilians, who bear the brunt of potholes and stink. This leads to further deterioration in their health.

According to sources, the road has been in a state of shambles for the past six months. Patch work was done at a few places, but most of the stretch has been left unattended making it difficult for commuters to use the route.
