Students discuss green issues

Alwal: The valedictory ceremony of ‘Perspective’ intra-college conference on climate change was organised at Loyola Academy Degree here on Wednesday. Initiated by students of commerce department, the forum was attended by 50 representatives hailing from various streams of arts, science and commerce.

The two-day forum had important discussions on environmental issues that trigger climate change and resolutions were passed to tackle the problem before it went out of hand. Rekha Rao, an activist and Manjula Kalanidhi, Features Editor of the New Indian Express among several other dignitaries attended the conference as chief guests.

"We must encourage young minds to ponder over issues that plague our Mother Earth. It is important to opt for eco-friendly life choices," said Rev Fr Dr P Anthony, Principal of the college.
