Bowenpally: As part of International Women’s Day, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board Ward No 1 member Jakkula Maheshwar Reddy along with his wife Rupa Reddy handed over gifts to women who took part in various activities held at the Bowenpally Grounds here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupa Reddy said, “Women need to get out and make a difference. We have reached a stage when the girl child is an asset.”
J Maheshwar Reddy said that there are several plans to provide employment to women in Ward No 1 and the community halls would be used for the purpose.About 4,000 women participated in the Women’s Day celebrations.
