Chairman of the union Allam Narayana said that any attempt to belittle the freedom of press must be dealt with strong resistance. He said that freedom of press was necessary for the healthy democratic function anywhere in the world. He said that despite many odds, journalists were able to stand for the freedom of press. He asked the young journalists to work for the welfare of common man and to become the true voice of people. GS Kranti Kiran, city president Yogi and TUWJ executive members attended the event.
