Director of Telangana Gorrela Mekala Pempakam Abhivrudhi Samakhya Lakshi Reddy assured to provide self-employment to the youth through rearing of goats and sheep.  He said this at a training camp organised by Gorrela Mekala Pempakamdaarula Sangham (GMPS) at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Wednesday. 

Baghlingampally: Director of Telangana Gorrela Mekala Pempakam Abhivrudhi Samakhya Lakshi Reddy assured to provide self-employment to the youth through rearing of goats and sheep. He said this at a training camp organised by Gorrela Mekala Pempakamdaarula Sangham (GMPS) at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Wednesday.

The director said that they avert fodder scarcity with the help of Department of Animal Husbandry. He claimed that about 150 doctors have been appointed by Animal Husbandry Department for sheep and goats. Lakshma Reddy said that they distributed sheep worth Rs 3,300 crore to 2,72,000 beneficiaries in the state.

Through which the farmers in the state earned an income of Rs 1,000 crore, he observed. He said that they were striving to provide self employment to the youth by sheep and goat rearing. GMPS state leaders K Nagaraju, U Ravinder, Nageswara Rao, Ashok, Mallesam were present.
