Vikarabad: Employees of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) Joint Action Committee (JAC) staged protest against the government’s attitude towards them, in front of Mahila Samakhya officer, here on Friday.

Speaking on the district JAC Chairman Srinivas said that Chief Minister KCR said on Wednesday that employees of SERP are not government employees. Peeved over the remarks of our CM, we took up lunch hour demonstrations, he said. Being the chairman for the SERP, his comments disappointed all of us, the JAC Chairman lamented.

The SERP employees are demanding that they should be recoginsed as government employees and implement PRC along with other allowances. If government is not acted positively, we take up massive agitation, they warned. They said their future plan of action would be announced on 22 May at state level meeting of SERP employees.

DPM Vinitha, Strinidhi RM Anil, APM Shekhar, Balaiah, Narsimhulu, Venkanna, CCs Ramchander, Satyanarayana, Bandaiah and others were present.
