Kukatpally: Usually parks are made with an initiative that people come here to take a free fresh air but here in Prasanthnagar Colony, Kukatpally it is totally opposite people come here to throw garbage.

Residents of the colony and others, who are coming for park to have some peaceful time, are getting inconvenience at the park not only the construction works but also the garbage which is being thrown by residents. This issue has been neglected by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Even people also are not taking any initiation to clean the park.

When contacted officials, they said, “we have noticed about the problem at Kukatpally in parks, also we are shortly starting the work. People have been complaining on this issue but as the roads construction is already on at that area so we will further make process on this issue.”

Arun Bhagavathula Senior citizen from Prasanthnagar Colony said, “The GHMC Park in Prashanthnagar Colony has become a dump yard, earlier I and my friends used to come to this park for morning walk and in evening time and we used to gather and spend a good time but from last 7 months the park has been in worst condition that we cannot even think to enter into the park. People who construct a house or any other construction work the all wastage like sand, broken bricks and all the dust materials are dumped in the park.

Colony member Ramesh said, “Parks are the lungs of the city but in Prasanth Nagar colony the situation is different. This colony has been a regular place where all colony people spend their evening and morning walks but no official of GHMC has taken any action to clean it. Senior citizens of the colony are facing serious problem to walk, to spend their quality time.”
