Hyderabad: A K Goel, IAS (Retd), Advisor to Government for Planning & Energy inaugurated the video link between Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana and its nine Regional Training Centers (RTCs) in the presence of B P Acharya, IAS, and Special Chief Secretary to Government & DG of the Institute, as a part of the celebrations of fourth anniversary of Telangana formation.

This facility provides for video conferencing and virtual classroom training, which would enable the Institute to conduct training programs simultaneously across all the Regional Training Centers. The trainees can attend the training program at their respective Regional Training Centers and need not travel to Hyderabad to attend the training programs at the Institute.

After the inauguration of the video link, A K Goel, B P Acharya, and other senior functionaries of the Institute interacted with the District Officers and trainees at Mahbubnagar and Warangal districts and also witnessed the distribution of COMMIT e-Learning certificates.

Speaking on this occasion, A K Goel said that leveraging technology will be of great help in imparting continuous training to employees aimed at enhancing the competencies of employees across the State and thereby improving the nature and quality of governance at the grass roots level. He added that this facility will enable the Institute to cover a much larger chunk of employees, across the State, which is not possible in the conventional face-to-face training.

B P Acharya said that use of technology will be greatly instrumental in ensuring that the training programs are cost- and time-effective. “Imparting training by using this facility will be as effective as the face-to-face training”, he said and added that video conferencing facility would also allow the Institute to address issues immediately by connecting anywhere anytime.

BusaniVenkateswara Rao, IAS, ADG, Dr Gautam Pingle, Dean of Studies, and Adevi, Head, Centre for IT & GM, IT, and other senior functionaries were present on this occasion.
