Civic issues galore at Thyagaraya Nagar
Corporator Pajjuri Pavani Reddy assured to solve civic problems like roads, drainage, drinking water supply and garbage collection at Thyagaraya Nagar on Wednesday. She toured in the colony along with officials of water works, sanitary, engineering and town planning departments.

Leaders of colony welfare association put forth their problems to the visitors. In several colonies roads have been dug up for water connections but have not been recarpeted. Likewise, once a road was dug up for drainage works, the debris was left on the side pf the road causing inconvenience to people.
Lalitha, a resident of Tyagaraya Nagar said, “The GHMC does not collect garbage on a daily basis and this results in stench in the area. There is a limit to the complaints that one can submit. We are tired of complaining. If the authorities do not take action we would be staging a dharna in front of the zonal office.”
Engineering divisional engineer Balakrishna, assistant engineer Santosh Reddy, works inspector Raju, Town planning chairman Satish, Water works manager Narasimhulu, supervisor Sampath, sanitary jawan Sattaiah, TRS leaders Manipal Reddy, Rajeswar Reddy, colony residents Balakrishna, Tirupathi Reddy, Ramachandra Reddy were present.
