Hyderabad: Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh M Bhagawat held a conference on ‘Court Monitoring’ with Station House Officers (SHOs), Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) at Kamineni Hospital Auditorium LB Nagar on Saturday. The meet was aimed to increase conviction rate in criminal cases.

• Instructs SHOs to daily monitor court proceedings and hold weekly meetings

Addressing the police personnel, the Commissioner said, “There should not be a communication gap between court constables and SHOs. Do not entertain the mediators in any case. Please don’t accept injury certificate from private hospitals and try to take report from the doctor who treated the injured person.” He instructed the SHOs to monitor the court progress every day, and to hold a weekly meeting on every Saturday. The Commissioner advised the police personnel to use Whatsapp to communicate to higher officers.

Information Technology cell Inspector M Sridhar Reddy gave a presentation on how to collect the electronic evidence and how to send them to FSL properly, quoting few judgments. The Commissioner of Police bestowed cash rewards and appreciation letters to the court duty constables, who performed well in awarding life imprisonment to offenders in criminal cases.

Admin DCP, Prakash Reddy, LB Nagar DCP Venkateshwara Rao, Malkajgiri DCP Uma Maheshwara Sharma, DCP Yadadri, Ramchander Rao, DCP crimes, Nagaraju, ACP CCRB Shaik Jahangir, ACP Chouttupal Sri Ramesh, ACP Yadadri, IT cell Inspector M.Sridhar Reddy and all SHOs along with their station writers, court duty PCs and e-cops operators were present on the occasion.
