School van mows down 4-year-old boy in Vikarabad
A four-year-old boy was killed when the school van mowed him down, here at Ramayyaguda on Thursday evening. The deceased was about to return home before the ghastly incident took place. The boy was identified as Sai Vighnesh, son of Papayya and Laxmi of Ramayyaguda.
Vikarabad: A four-year-old boy was killed when the school van moved him down, here at Ramayyaguda on Thursday evening. The deceased was about to return home before the ghastly incident took place. The boy was identified as Sai Vighnesh, son of Papayya and Laxmi of Ramayyaguda.
The incident took place when the boy alighted the van and his school bag fell on the ground. While he was picking up the bag, the driver preceded the van crushing the child under its wheels. He was rushed to the Vikarabad Government Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Vikarabad Circle Venktramaiah is investigating the case. Speaking to The Hans India, he said police would not hesitate to intensify raids along with RTA department on school vehicles which have not fitness. He warned school managements who engage drivers without proper documents.
