Selection process for sports hostels underway at Hakimpet
District Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department on Tuesday embarked on selection process for the students to get admissions into the sports hostel at Hakimpet in Hyderabad.
Sangareddy: District Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department on Tuesday embarked on selection process for the students to get admissions into the sports hostel at Hakimpet in Hyderabad.
The District Youth Welfare Officer B Keshuram said that the girls and boys who were studying Class IV were eligible and 40 students participated in physical fitness, weight test, running race, long jump, high jump, shot put and height tests conducted at Ambedkar Stadium and the details of the selected students would sent to the sports school at Hakimpet.
The selected students will get free training with free education and accommodation to excel in the sports at the sports school, said the official. The selection program was attended by PET Srinivas, Tejendar Singh, and gymnast coach Devika and other staffers.
